IoTech MultiScan 1200 communication driver

IoTech MultiScan 1200 communication driver is the driver to communicate with TempScan/MultiScan High-speed temperature, voltage system of   IoTech in U.S.A.

1. Read Settings

<Figure 1> is read setting example of IoTech MultiScan 1200 communication driver for ION 8000 Series.

<Figure 1>  Read setting example of IoTech MultiScan 1200 communication driver

Device part of  <Figure 1> input Com Port(COM1), Baud Rate(9600), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(8), Stop Bit(1) respectively, according to the controller.

In protocol option part, you can set the following: total channel number(default = 72), card type(1 ~ 59, default = 1). Each argument  is a comma-delimited.

IoTech MultiScan communication driver read schedule

Read schedule setting parameters are as follows:

1) Station – Don't care.

2) Read Command –  Don't care.

3) Read Start Channel Number – Read start channel start number. ( 1 ~ )

4) Save start address for Communication Server – Saving start address of Communication Server.

5) Read Size – Read schannel size. (1 ~ )

Read schedule example)

FLOAT,          0,           0,           1,           0,           24,

FLOAT,          0,           0,           25,         24,         24,

FLOAT,          0,           0,           49,         48,         24,

2. Writing settings

You can set IoTech MultiScan 1200 controller by using 'writing settings'.

Digital Write

Digital write setting parameters are as follows:

1)  PORT                   Port no. (0 ~ 255)

2)  STATION             Don't care.

3)  ADDRESS          Don't care.

4)  Extra1                  Write command.

 SET = initialize,

*S = system reboot.

5) Extra2                   Don't care.

Write example 1)

PORT:0,  station:0, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: *S,  Extra2 : 0

The setting parameter shown above is a system reset example of IoTech MultiScan 1200 controller.

Note) After send '*S'(systen reset) write command, you have to 'SET' write command for normally read communication.

Also you can write 'SET' command after about 5 seconds. ( after '*S' command )

Analog Write

Analog write setting parameters are as follows:

1)  PORT                   Port no. (0 ~ 255)

2)  STATION             Don't care.

3)  ADDRESS          Don't care.

4)  Extra1                  Write command.

 SET = initialize,

*S = system reboot.

5) Extra2                   Don't care.

Write example 1)

PORT:0,  station:0, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: SET,  Extra2 : 0

The setting parameter shown above is initialization example of IoTech MultiScan 1200 controller.

Note) After send '*S'(systen reset) write command, you have to 'SET' write command for normally read communication.

Also you can write 'SET' command after about 5 seconds. ( after '*S' command )
